During winter the road becomes extremely slippery and the only vehicles visible on these roads are private cars of Spiti people. It is at this time that some adventurous people head out to explore the raw beauty of Spiti in winter and see places covered in Snowe with drastically transformed landscapes in white. Itinerary
Day 1Delhi to Manali
Overnight journey to Manali.
Meals: N/A
Day 2Manali to Sojha
Reach Manali and check into the Hotel.
Take a rest freshen up and meet our Steinbock representative.
Hop on to your 4×4 vehicles and head out to Sojha.
On the way, you can choose to enjoy river rafting in the Beas river.
From Sojha experience the scenic view of the Banjar Valley.
The area retains a surreal charm as it remains off the beaten tracks followed by a horde of tourists. On arrival check-in at the guest house. Overnight at a guest house.

Day 3Sojha to Kalpa
After breakfast, head out to Kalpa over Jalori pass(3223m).
We continue along the Indo-TIbet highway before turning left and climbing the pine forest slopes till we reach Kalpa.
A beautiful Himalayan village that offers one the best views of Snow Peaks right across the valley looming large in front of you.
Kalpa is a beautiful village located in front of the Kinner Kailash Mountain range.
Evening free to walk around the Kalpa village.

Day 4 Kalpa to Nako/Tabo
After breakfast, head out to enter the Spiti Valley.
The road from Kalpa initially descends to the Indo-Tibet Highway and continues on the left bank of Sutlej till Khab, the confluence of Spiti and Sutlej.
From this point, the cold desert of Spiti will start, and drive upward to Nako village.
Visit Nako lake and start your journey towards Tabo village.
Visit 1020 year Tabo monastery located in the quaint village of Tabo.
Spend your day relaxing in the fields of Tabo or hike up to the caves, the monks used to meditate.

Day 5 Tabo to Dhankar to Lhalung to Kaza
After breakfast, head out to the road to Kaza till we reach Sichling village, from here the road winds up to the Dhangkar monastery, which was once the capital of Spiti.
Dhangkar monastery, built 800 years ago is one of the most endangered archaeological sites in the world.
An hour-and-a-half hike takes you to the beautiful Dhankar lake.
From Dhangkar we drive towards one of the little know villages of Spiti, Lhalung. With Snow-capped peaks in the background and the cultivation fields built on the slope of the mountain, Lhalung is a photographer’s charm. Golden Temple or the Serkhong Gompa is another 1020-year-old monastery adorning this little village.

Day 6Kaza to Kee-Langza-Komic-Hikim to Kaza
After breakfast, head out to visit the iconic monastery at Kee.
Built on top of a hill the main shrine is surrounded by residential quarters, and administrative buildings are built in the shape of a pyramid.
Now move on to visit the Langza, Komic, and Hikim villages.

Day 7Kaza to Rampur
After breakfast head out to Rampur.
After a great Spitian winter experience head back to the cities.
We retrace the roads back to Kinnaur via Tabo, Nako till Powari.

Day 8 Rampur to Narkanda to Shimla
After breakfast, head out toward Shimla.
On the way enjoy the mystic views of the Western Himalayas.

Expedition End.
After breakfast, head out toward Delhi.
